Into week 4 of Keto and the weight is steadily coming off. I was feeling defeated as my scale showed an increase a few days ago and of course, my husband had another drop...His determination kept me on course. We are eating so much better and enjoying the creativity of this way of eating. We backed off on the fat a bit, as our bodies seem fat adapted. No cravings, no crazy hunger and being satisfied with moderate portions. I think I was drinking too much bullet proof coffee...LOVE THAT STUFF! AND, I was starving myself all day, hoping to drop quicker, and it just made me eat more later in the day. Our choices are very healthy and we are adding more lo-carb veggies and eating more fish. Hope everyone is doing well and life is treating them well! Love the food pictures that everyone posts, they give me great ideas for meals to come! Have a great day!

Been vigilant about logging food and balancing macros. Have done intermittent fasting too, hoping the weight drops off! I joined a challenge, and successfully completed it, BUT on paper it looks like I went AWOL the last two days! Getting back to the computer is difficult later in the day. The two elderly family members that I care for full time take a lot of time and effort and some nites I crash on the couch. Mentally and physically I feel great. Yesterday was my first day I experienced almost insatiable hunger, so I ate, waited awhile then ate more until I felt good. I stayed within my calories and fat and carb allowances. PHEW!
We will complete 21 days of 30 carbs or less and then I think I am ready to switch it up. The weight isn't coming off as fast as I had hoped and if we stay away from crappy carbs, I think out diets will benefit from healthy carbs. No cravings, but you know what sounds really good? A small perfectly ripe banana or even half of one! :)
