So I've been job hunting this morning on the internet... and I've been exploring all sorts of different avenues but I just don't feel "grown up" enough apply for some of the jobs that are advertised. I feel as if I should be sitting at my desk at my first job and "playing" secretary not actually being a secretary... just read this email from a recruitment agency who thinks I'd be perfect for the job -
Quote:Hi Chantelle,
There seems to be a problem with their website at the moment. Just to give you a brief over view, the company has been established for over 100 years. They own both Residential and Commercial portfolios. The commercial portfolio is UK wide whilst the Residential portfolio is limited to Chelsea, Knightsbridge and Kensington. The residents tend to be Barons, Dames etc.... this is a multi million pound portfolio.
The development director is looking for a P.A/Secretary/Administrator to assist him on a daily basis. As this is a newly created position the successful candidate will need to implement a number of processes and procedures.
I hope this helps.
Regards
Lucy
Now to me this sounds like something someone much older than my 29 years would be able to do... C'mon... their Barons and Dames and very important people who I'd be dealing with, what makes Lucy think I'd be perfect?! She's not met me, she's only ever spoken to me once on the phone and seen my CV so why did she think I was perfect? What quality of mine jumped out at her for her her to put me forward for this job??
Did my stretching last night and ooooohhhh it felt good. The only "side Effect" it had was I slept in late this morning! Hehehe! I'm going to walk (balk at the sound of that!) into town today (my Dad says it should only take me 30mins!) and do some grocery shopping and then walk back... if this doesn't kill me then carrying the groceries will! Hahaha!
