HAPPY HALLOWEEN! LETS HAVE A GREAT start to the week! The last four or five days have been a blur. Between work, grand kids and caring for the old folks, I have been swamped. Dad's infected toe required more doctor visits and a lot of shuttling around...My mother-in-laws life alert went off during a shift at work and me being 4 minutes away...I was the one to respond...she was fine...sitting on the bathroom floor, topless......unable to figure out how to get back up...Poor dear...I am thankful for no injuries. Hubby must've gotten an intestinal bug and spent most of the weekend sleeping or on the toilet....good times...

I have not logged food or activity, but walked 1.5 hours everyday and even JOGGED a few minutes...I have not jogged in years. I made some salsa verde and baked an apple cake for my dad. It was full of grated apple, nuts and raisins...Quite delish and For dinner Sunday,I made homemade french onion soup! I also prepped veggies for the week and did some meal planning.

Let's all have a great week and STAY the HECK away from the candy!!!!! If you must have some, pick your most favorite and truly enjoy it! You might be surprised that you are satisfied with less! :) !

DOWN another Pound! I didn't actually join Beast Mode Challenge yesterday but actually did it....did not eat since Sunday night...and only ate a small meal Monday night. My dad needed medical care and most of the morning and into afternoon was with the foot doc (infected toe) and errands. UGH! Never made it to work...boss was absolutely GREAT and all in all the stress level was low.

I have another 8 week plan for myself...pretty much the same as my last 8 week plan. Core strength training and walking briskly 1.5 hours per day. THAT amount of time allows me to eat and enjoy a fairly wide variety of food. Sometimes my choices are not the best, but the main thing is I have not really gone bonkers on any one food or snack....No bingeing no starving no deprivation and MOOD SWINGS....let's just say I am HAPPY.

I lost 7 or 8 pounds last plan, I am aiming for 5 or 6 this time. With Holidays and festivities being in the mix, I set myself a bit more moderate goal. For the New Year, I plan to start weight training.....

WOOHOO! back from vacation and did not gain a single pound! I love traveling with my sister because we share everything...not only are meals more affordable, you have the chance to try a lot of things along the way and think of all those calories saved!!!!!

Oregon was beautiful...we hiked a couple of days, ate at Whole Foods and visited with my nephew, his girlfriend and my sister's man in her life. They are a couple, then they are not a couple, then they are a couple...etc...I think they both need time...but I tell ya, he's a gem...and I am not being sarcastic. And my sister is quite the catch too! They may just need some time...

DISNEYLAND was absolutely a BLAST! We rode rides like kids and ate in some of the funnest restaurants! We had more than enough time to relax...Hot tub every nite and if we weren't walking our butts off, we were laughing them off!

Back to reality now. Hubby had gotten a lot done around the house and property and he did a fine job taking care of my dad and his mother.

Back to work tomorrow. Logging food, working out and catching up with my Fat Secret Buddies! It IS GOOD to be back!
