I've been stuck at this weight now for months. I really tried hard this month. I kept my calorie count low every day but no seeing the results I expected. There's not much I think I could cut further other than carbs, however I live in China and it is a high carb culture here. There are really only two choices for meals - noodles or rice - to which one adds a sprinkling of meat or fish. It is really hard to come up with low carb food choices here.

Chinese National Day holiday comes to an end. Back to work tomorrow. I had a nice trip down to Dalian to see some friends there and eat some nice food. Stayed within my calorie quota but only just - even through I had an Indian curry and English fish 'n' chips every day. I just can't get them where I live so I binged a bit. Also got some cheese to take back home. It is so rare that I can get cheese so I ate it all a little to fast. Just one pack left out of three.
My wife bought me an unusual present - whey protein powder - the stuff that weightlifters eat to bulk up. The last thing I need is to bulk up. I tried some tonight just out of curiosity. It was "strawberry" flavour, but I'll put that in quotes because it wasn't really a flavour so much as a pink colouring. It also had an odd texture.
I really can't see the point of this stuff. If I wanted to up my protein, I could just add eggs or tofu. There are hundreds of delicious recipes using these. However, I don't want to up my protein. I don't want to up anything. I'm trying very hard to reduce my food. Calorie wise, it my portion was 218kcal. A Hershey bar is 210kcal and significantly more satisfying. It was just a couple of hundred calories that I don't need to eat. I think I'll be leaving whey protein powders off my diet sheet for now.

No change in weight this month - neither up nor down. I have to admit that this month I haven't really been trying. I haven't kept up the exercise and I haven't stuck to any diet. Time to get back on top of things. Let's set a target - down 10kg by Christmas.

I has been seven weeks! A combination of bad weather, work, and family commitments stopped me going out. However, today I had a free afternoon and the sky was blue(ish) so I got to do 10km up the mountain plus my 100 sit-ups and 20 press-ups.
While coming down the hill, I spotted something green that wasn't a leaf. Close inspection reviled a huge praying mantis who sat long enough to get my camera close up.

I had my parents visiting for a month all through August, so that completely messed with my exersize plans. Also they brought me loads of chocolate, candy and cookies. Then we had large banquets with the family. So I was expecting the worst when I aproached the scales today.
Actually not as bad as I expected. Within 1kg of my previous months weight.
I'm not expecting to get much exersize fitted in during September. We have the tail end of a typhoon blowing through and the forcast is for rain every day for the next two weeks straight. Plus the university is back as of this week so I have loads of classes to give.
Ergo, September will just have to be a super strict food month - counting the callories dilligently.
