I am 68 years old and my doctor calls me the healthiest unhealthy person he knows. I am on a mission to change what I can. I have three grown children and 5 grandchildren. I started gaining and losing weight after I got married in 1967. It got progressively worse after I was diagnosed with leukemia in 2000. Between the diabetes meds and the chemo meds and the blood pressure meds I was a mess. I am finally off three meds 2 for blood pressure and 1 for arthritis and have lost 15 lbs, but most of that was water weight. there have been many starts on changing my way of eating but I am determined this time and hope to get off a few more meds. Just as leukemia has changed my out look on life I am going to do this for me this time.
