I'm 49 years old. On May 18th, my doctor informed me i was pre-diabetic. My weight that day was 266 pounds and 7 ounces, which was down from my last visit in November by 3 pounds. I was always the "skinny" one in my family, and to be honest, I still am. My blood sugars were always on the low side. My doctor suggested cutting back on carbs. I figured, well, why not...I don't want to be taking insulin or pills for diabetes and with my family history, that is exactly where I am heading. I'm not sure if my goal weight is attainable for me, but I am at least going to get under 200 again!
