Went to my scheduled consultation at Curves and did two circuits. Was sweating and felt it in my arms and legs when I was done, so that tells me I need to work out and get it moving !! I'm 95% sure I'm going to enroll again, will go back on Friday morning for another workout and make my decision. I've got to check the schedule for the Jillian workout times, too. The Curves I used to go to years ago played the music much louder and kept it cooler inside, both of which I liked better, but all the machines were in good condition and they were busy for a Wed afternoon.

Never been to Curves but used to go to a ladies only circuit training gym. Loved the idea that it kept you moving and working different muscles. Between machines we did step exercise to keep the heart rate up. Unfortunately it went out of business. I miss it greatly!

that's basically how Curves works, step intervals between machines. Jillian Michaels has developed a workout for the circuit that is supposed to be very challenging, focusing on what to do while "on the boards" between the machines.

Let us know what you decide to do. All the gyms near me are coed. Bad enough bouncing all my "giggly parts" in front of other women. Not about to do that in front of males.

Whether you rejoin Curves or find another solution, great job on putting your fitness at the top of your list. I know I am going to get burnt out on my exercise dvd and walking, so I love to read about other's people's solutions.

Yeah, I joined too! My gym only offers a yearly plan and I didn't want to pay for the summer when I knew I wouldn't go due to massive gardening plans. then groupon had a special 39.00 for 20 visits, so I grabbed it and will start next Monday (travelling this week) and hope it gets me moving enough that I can do that gardening without having to call 911 !

I went to Curves today for my first workout and I did my two circuits and I agree boy do you feel the workout in every part of the body. I will thank God for the stretching at the end. I also scheduled my next workout tomorrow. I felt like I could run a marathon when I left.

I did join and am looking forward to 3 a week. I'll do 4 if I can get the time in, but definitely committing to the 3, plus my mall walking and anything else I can figure out to do in between.

Yes you did a great job. I went to body basic workout class today and boy am I sore but I feel great. I am going to try for 5 days if weather permits and I know I need to get my walking program started yet. I figure one step at a time.
