So this morning I discovered that I definitely have too many clothes. It all started because I couldn't remember which pants in the closet fit, so I just spent an hour trying on clothes. Now, please understand, I HATE to shop. Trying on clothing is boring to me, and I just don't enjoy it at all (not necessarily due to weight). But this morning was FUN! I have a whole new wardrobe! I have things that I haven't worn in close to 10 years that fit again! I pulled everything that is truly too big now and bagged it. I'm still big, but some of those jeans were standing more than an inch off my waist and it was such a motivational boost! I even cleared out some old maternity stuff, and found a whole drawer of cute sweaters that now fit again! Three trash bags later, and my closet is still full. Clearly, I need to do another purge, but one season at a time! I can't wait to see how far I can take this, and the stories and struggles of all of you inspire me! Happy New Me!

Purging clothes is the best feeling and very symbolic. I made myself get rid of something for every pound I lost, this past fall.
