Thanks, Horseshu! You're right and I wondered when this would show up. I am doing low intensity exercises now, crunches and planking and some weight resistance. I had some salty food yesterday and I think I did retain a bit of water. As for deducting calories for sleeping, I am resistant to doing that because the calories expended while resting are so nominal, and it doesn't feel like I'm really earning that. But I guess if you are being really strict and measuring every thing you eat to get an accurate calorie count, then resting calorie consumption could be subtracted. I am a bit loose with my measurements, though getting better. Today I measured out exactly 1 tablespoon of peanut butter, and I saw it was a bit less than what I had been calling a tablespoon before. Yeah, I need to be more strict with the measuring.
