I started this journey at about 10 lbs higher than the dr scale of 178.. I had seen it at 180 sometime in the summer and knew I had to start doing something. Finding out and setting date for the first of the four full joint replacements ( shoulders/ knees) and having my a1c( blood sugars) come back " pre diabetic " shook me to find this app! , make appt with nutritionist, have hubby checked( same.. pre diabetic. Needs to loose) and to date it's been a bit of up and down with the weight but I've stayed consistent with way way way way less carbs and calories. I'm just figuring out that I do need to revamp my kitchen cabinets and stock things like chia seeds and flaxseeds( delicious crunch in salads) I need to explode new recipes as my husband is a meat potato kind of guy and truly looks forward to each meal.. tonight I have a monthly meet with 2 colleagues and we get Chinese food.. I haven't allowed myself any " cheats" so rather than be the " I can't eat that " girl, I'm going for it.. and tomorrow I will pound the water and eat less . Dieting and changing ones metabolism to go from pre diabetic to normal blood sugars is not for sissies! Some days it's very uplifting some days, so boring!
