Weekends are my kryptonite. I tried to be good on Friday at the birthday party, and I WAS successful in keeping my promise to not drink. It was such a rare occurrence for me that at least 3 people asked me if I was pregnant! Lol. None of the menu options seemed appetizing to me (it was a German restaurant, and despite being 50% German, it's just not my thing). So I picked at my food and then caved for dessert... apple strudel w/ vanilla ice cream.
Yesterday my parents were here. Thanks to my credit card reward points I had $75 in gift cards to Carrabbas. So we went there. I was semi-good. I skipped the bread, appetizer, and dessert-- but then ordered Lobster Ravioli. Yum! I only had half of the portion. But still-- not the healthiest choice. And we had chardonnay. I think I might have had 3 glasses! And we had champagne at our house before leaving, I probably had 2 or 3... my dad is always filling everyone's glasses when they are half full so it's hard to keep count. When we got home we were all fooling around on the Wii Fit and then did Wii bowling- it was fun (I won!) Too bad I am AWFUL at real life bowling lol.
Headed to the grocery store later to get healthy food options for the week. My mom got me a book of recipes for the slow cooker so I'm thinking of trying something out. I will report back on how much of disaster it was.
I hope everyone is having an enjoyable Sunday afternoon. We are going to Home Depot to look at paint color options. Our house is too darn white!
