Well, the vacation is over and I'm back on plan. Using a 20:4 IF with a VLCD that is low carb, moderate protein, and moderate healthy fats. Burning lots of calories and trying to get plenty of sleep. Dropped 3 lb in 6 days. Which is pretty much what I hoped for. Still 5 weeks to go before I see my GP for my annual physical, so I'm on track to be at goal by that time. After a month on vacation, with torrential rains, my property had 2' high grass when I returned. So far I've cut about 2 acres. I left the riding mower parked and I'm using a gas powered rotary push mower so that I get a good workout. The storms knocked down several big oaks on the property. So I have to cut, drag and burn those which will also provide a good workout. I've been experimenting with something new this week so that I can keep sugars low but still have desert. I bought two kinds of sugar free pudding. Chocolate that you cook and vanilla that is instant. Instead of skim milk (with 12gm of sugar per cup), I use unsweetened almond milk. I also add some splenda since the pudding assumes sweetness provided by the milk. Other than that, I just follow the directions on the box and it makes a pretty great desert with extremely low calories. One cup of prepared pudding is 100 calories for the Chocolate and 80 calories for the vanilla (with zero grams of sugar). I hope y'all have a great downhill slide to the weekend.
