OK, another chilly morning here. I had my shorts and a sweatshirt on when I let the dogs out and quickly came in and looked at the temperature - 50 degrees!!! Yikes! No wonder I was cold.

So, time to re-think my walking wardrobe. Tried on a pair of jeans that were getting too big earlier this year, hoping they'd still be reasonably OK for walking the dogs. Nope, no such "luck." Had to use 1 of 2 newer pairs that are already getting baggy in some areas on me.

Layered up 4 layers on my core, an earband, gloves...oh, yeah, took the dogs too...and walked 3.1 miles. Managed to drop 1 of my core layers and the gloves midway through the walk; still only 53 degrees when we finished. Living in the South has certainly thinned my Midwestern blood, as they say, which makes the colder/cooler weather all that much more chilly.

You would be surprised how chilly you'd get here...Is 43 now and its after 2pm..wind will cut right through you..bitter cold and will give you brain freeze..Sounds like you need to get smaller walking clothes a give those others up..I see your sooo close to the 80 mile marker.. Awesome.....☺

Hi Bren, thanks for noticing. I hate brain freeze!!! Now, if I had a Wii and could build an island (smile).....I could stay inside on colder days. Come to think of it, maybe not - the dogs would protest! LOL! They're such nags!! Hope all your projects are indoors today.

You can always put them on the treadmill..thats what Ceasar does..LOL You would love the Wii its really fun...My project is on the stove. Hamburger stew...Yummy...with a big pan of corn bread....

Sorry to you are freezing your butt off! This is some strange weather lately for sure, the only good part is when it's cold I sure move a LOT QUICKER outside! Did you notice you did the walk in record time? I agree, perhaps it IS time for new jeans! I love the thought of new, great fitting jeans...but I just hate shopping for them, I hope you have better luck than I do! I hope you find the perfect ones!

Actually, GG, I expected to go faster, but didn't time myself. What I noticed was that my legs were getting a bit tired. I chalked that up to the friction on my knees, wearing long pants. Don't know if that's true, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it! LOL!

Hey, Sandy....it has gotten cooler here very quickly. It was 55 for a high today, and the winds were whipping. Did not walk...haven't walked for a week now....need to get my rearend moving again! Have an awesome Friday!!!
