I think your issue sounds like you may not be eating enough. Your body is reluctant to release fat that it needs because you are not providing it with the fuel it needs. Have you done some reading up on this subject. I just posted an article source yesterday on eating too little.

Agree with the other comments. I stalled using the CICO diet and upped the calories and started losing again. My dr advised to never go below 1200. I do but I still keep a weekly average of 8400 minimum (1200/day avg). That way I can have my homemade soup for 400 twice if I want them the next day I can have fajitas or something else heavy in calories. I don’t want to debate diets here (always seems like there’s a debate surrounding Keto) but perhaps this isn’t the right diet for you. I find that if I have a high fat diet then I didn’t lose as much but if I cut it in half I lose more. My body obviously doesn’t like fat much. Or rather it likes fat calories too much and holds onto them lol. Just a thought and feel free to completely ignore it ;).

@Kenna where can I find your article? I have been eating 800 since March 8th.
@jcmama I’m worried if I eat 1200 I’ll gain the other 15lbs back.

What matters is the average not the daily intake. If most days you are on a deficit and one day you binge on a calorie surplus you undo all your hard work 😓

You may have hit a plateau. It happens and when it does I just do something drastic to keep my metabolism guessing, like go way up and down in a couple of days with calories or exercise. It does come back around - just don't give up. I know it's frustrating.

The VLCD+Keto has been the only diet I have ever lost weight other than when I got my cancer/disease and then ballooned up while on prednisone.

Everyone here has different ways of doing things. Some are grounded in science and some—- not so much. Do your one research read stuff you see on the internet— see if it makes sense, ask questions. So much conflicting info out there. And it all sounds so “right on”. Just remember when you are doing this that it needs to be a lifestyle. You loose that 40 lb and it will be right back on if you do not continue to be mindful of both the types of food s you eat and the amounts and an activity level is really important. So choose a way of eating that allows some built in flexibility, and that you can seriously see yourself doing for the long term.

edit calories to a lower than suggested amount. Eat high protein and vegies, limit fruit to 1 serving of a low carb fruit. High protein drinks too.

first relax , stress increases estrogen and makes you gain fat. second look up total daily energy expenditure on line and figure out what is the normal minimum calorie consumption. reduce your carbs to 30, track and record everything. increase your protein to 1 to 1.5 times your ideal body weight. walk every day. eat lots of cruciferous veggies, leafy greens and mushrooms. cut out all booze and sugar.

It's fine to vent like that. I have exactly the same problem!! I do think if you are eating only 800 cal. a day your body is hanging onto everything it can because it feels you are starving it. Try increasing you cal. to 1200 and see if that helps any. Good luck.... I hate the scale too!!
