I really wish I could be a bit more patient as far as dieting is concerned. I don't want to be checking my weight everyday but I feel the need for immediate results so I'm not sure how to deal with that one. I'm kinda fascinated by numbers and statistics sometimes. I suppose the advantage of that where this is concerned is I've given myself a couple more milestones. Pounds and stones, kilograms and BMI. Whoever designed all the measurements is a bit of a pain in the arse really. 14lb to a stone, 16oz to a lb, 454g to a lb, 568ml to a pint. Also, whose idea was it to shorten pound to lb? It'd make sense if a pound was called... I dunno, a loumb, but it's not. I can deal with the differences between metric and imperial easily enough anyway, I suppose I've been kinda lucky in that respect. When I was a kid I was taught imperial at home and metric at school. Oh and I don't know what it's like elsewhere in the world but both are still used by manufacturers.
Anyway yeah.. I've been pretty reckless last few weeks, haven't been watching what I've been eating at all. The psychological part is the hardest. You get pissed off, you think eating junk food will cheer you up cos you've heard about this thing called comfort eating, but you just beat yourself up for it cos you know it's not all that comforting and you're shooting yourself in the foot. Anyway, whatever, I'm getting back on track again. I can do this. I've been eating a hell of a lot better this week, keeping well under my daily allowances and getting more vitamins. You can't not have any crap, but I do feel guilty when I do. Just gotta add a few chocolate biscuits to yesterday. Hey, it was Friday. Chocolate or beer. I must've walked about 30 miles so far this week, I can't feel bad about that!?
