Won't be too long before I never see a weight with a 9 in the tens position again. :)

I think I need to take my measurements again too. It has been almost a month. Gives another perspective on how the progress is going - sometimes the scale doesn't tell the whole story.

Need to get better about logging in the food journal again. I was doing great when using the app on my phone. Note to self: get that reinstalled!

Today marks a week of meatless eating for me. I really thought I'd miss it more than I do...strange! Last night, I made baked ziti for the family for dinner. Made a healthier adaptation of one of my usual recipies. Used whole-wheat pasta, and for the rest of the family I used ground turkey instead of the normal ground chuck/ground pork. Made a separate pan for myself minus the meat, and added some Boca meatless crumbles.

It was my first time cooking with those, and I must say it wasn't too bad!

Now I just need to figure out what we're having for dinner tonight...yikes!

Starting to get back on track. :)

Father-in-law was discharged from the hospital this weekend, so hopefully things will go more smoothly now.

I'm going to continue with the MNS phase from the Advocare 24 day challenge. Want to make sure that all of my nutritional needs are being met now that I've given up meat for Lent.

Speaking of my meatless phase...made a yummy wrap last night for dinner. Spread hummus on a whole-grain wrap, then filled it with diced tomato, diced cucumber, black olives, and (some) feta cheese. It was so good and so filling!

I meant to make one to bring to work today for lunch, but I was running a little behind this morning. Ah...Mondays. The kids were slower than molasses getting ready for school, and of course remembered at the last minute various forms that I needed to sign, etc. (The joys of parenting, right? LOL) Never got around to packing my lunch. Sigh.

Guess I should be thankful that my workplace has a cafeteria that offers a variety of healthy options. And tonight, I'll be making that wrap ahead of time for tomorrow's work lunch. :)

I was almost scared to weigh in after the week I've had - just glad that I didn't gain! My father-in-law has been in the hospital since 2/14, and we've been doing a lot of eating on the go while juggling the added family responsibilities on top of our normal routine.

I haven't even had time to squeeze in exercise. That's ok - I'm more concerned about the long-term journey. Have to be flexible enough to accomodate the normal ups and downs that happen to all of us occasionally!

Though I will be having more of a presence here at least for the duration of Lent. I gave up meat for Lent. Normally I give up pop, but that's not going to work this year since I stopped drinking it in January. :)

Need to use the food journal consistently during that time, so that I can feel confident that I'm still getting adequate protein. I'm not used to meatless cooking, so I need the extra help tracking my intake.
