I am a 43 year old (soon to be 44) mother of 2 girls ages 21 and 19 and both in college (finishing up their 4th and 1st year.) I decided after a doctors appointment last October after being weighed that it was time to peel off my fat suit, I wore it long enough and have not felt good about myself in many years. So far I have lost 35 pounds on my own following Weight Watchers and help from my friends at work. I still have a lot to go. I think one thing that has really helped me is that I have actually put myself first for the first time. I buy and cook what I want and not to please everyone else. I walk one mile every day on my lunch break and try to walk 4 miles on my days off. It is amazing how much better I feel about myself so far, I can't wait to see what the end results will be.
