I've battled my weight all of my life and I'd like this to be the last time. The only way I will be successful is to continually hold myself accountable for every food choice I make. This is my first time trying Atkins; I've been on WW several times, did a protein shake & meal replacement-based HMR program, and generally lose about 60 pounds before I slip back into my old habits. Of course this is counterintuitive, because each time, at around 200 pounds, I still have 50 pounds at least to get to a normal weight, so you'd think I'd be able to keep going.....This time I'm hoping it will be different. I started Atkins induction phase on 7/6/10, and so far have lost 15 pounds, nearing my 2 week mark. So far I feel like I'm more in control of my diet, and my life (funny how those two intertwine...) and I'm hoping to start an exercise program soon, although I have a foot issue that I hope will not hinder too much. Except for visual triggers from carbs, I haven't missed the bad ones that sort of ruled my life. On to my 100 pound weight loss target!!!!
