I can only low carb for so long before I start to break down and twitch every time I see a loaf of bread or a thick slice of pizza. Then I return to mindless uncontrolled eating and its back to square one with me again. I cant seem to break this cycle..

do you do any cheat meals or free days? I do extreme low carb and low fat and I spend 5hrs a week just eating pizza and doughnuts, and then I give myself another free meal every week. I lose a ton of fat this way.

Because your body is craving energy of some form. If you are working out during the week, you need some complex carbs to keep you fueled. The trick is picking good carbs for your body. Whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and yogurt are great sources of good carbs, along with the vitamins, minerals, and fiber your body needs. What's the point of a diet if it kills you to stick to it and makes you feel bad?
