Yoga last night was delightful. I stayed a little while after to talk to the instructor/owner of the school. I've always had ankle problems, so I wanted to know how I could strengthen them. Then she gave me the strangest compliment that I've ever gotten, I think. She told me that I was "scary flexible," "like, girl in a box at the circus, flexible." That made me laugh. She told me that I could use the fitness equipment outside of the studio, (there is this little gym like area set up outside of the studio.)

I'm really excited about that. I'm really trying to build up some basic strength. I don't want to be all scary and muscle-y, but I do want to have some definition. I don't understand how from one week to another while doing the same things, my weight can change so easily. This time last week, my weight just kept going up, up, and up. Now this week, I don't think I've gained, and I think that I've dipped lower than where I was before I started the gain (I was at 164).

I've told myself that I'm not going to let the weekends ruin my week. I need to start that on Fridays. I'm planning a walk and a healthy lunch. Then I have to go and pick up my parents at the airport. So I have a busy day ahead of me. I'm going to go to yoga class both days this weekend. There is a free class Saturday morning, and a not free class Sunday early evening. I'm planning on attending both of them.

Monday was my original second goal of 168lbs. I didn't shatter it the way I was personally predicting to myself. But I think that no matter where I am on Monday, as long as I am under my goal or at it, it's a triumph. I'm taking this 5lbs at a time from now on. Not that 15 pounds is a lot in weight, but smaller increments might not drive me as crazy. So, my next goal will be 160lbs by April 18. Joe and I are going to a Yankees game, so we'll be taking a ton of pictures. Both of us are huge fans of the Yankees (sometimes he says that I'm a bigger fan than he is!) I've got my eyes on those 7s for that day!

Plus, if I'm 160 at that point, I'll be one pound away from halfway to goal, which is amazing. To me at least. I'll know that if I was about to get rid of the first 39, I'll be able to work hard and get off the next 39. Not to mention that my goals, as they go on get further and further apart, giving myself time to work on them as I get closer to goal. There was no scientific method behind figuring out the dates, just dates that mean something to me.

I hope everyone has a good weekend, and remember don't let the weekends ruin your weeks :)
