I am with you sister! I had bariatric sleeve surgery on June 13th and I did it to save my life. I had tried Weight Watchers (many times) Quick Weight Loss (ha ha), Atkins, so many I can't even count them. This is what is working for me. No more cholesterol or blood pressure meds. I am no longer pre-diabetic and I need to get tested to see if my sleep apnea is gone. Oh and I forgot to mention that my triglycerides went from 355 to 95. It is hard work but it is just a tool and I still have to calorie count, carb count and protein count daily and drink 60 ounces plus of water and exercise to get it off and keep it off.  

What do you do ? I need to know .. congratulations😀

@gingerdog, I get a disappointed look every time someone says "what's your secret" and I tell them I had surgery. I always answer with, don't be disappointed, I'm ecstatic with my results.I did what I had to do after trying and trying only to end up failing. Surgery helped me, just like your diet helps you. It can also fail me, just as your diet may fail you! 😊😁 people I know either love me or hate me for my frankness!! LET IT BE KNOWN, after surgery, WE STILL HAVE TO DIET AND EXERCISE or we will not be successful!! ❤️❤️❤️

My aunt had gastric bypass and she is grateful for the change it has made in her life. I hate that there is a stigma associated with weight loss surgery. I have done a lot of research and the key to successful weight loss seems to be having a good support system either at home or virtual. It is important to have people who support you and your choices. I am trying this without the surgery for now. But I do not think it is the easy way out.

My hubby had to have surgery as well; it is definitely the only thing for some people. And yeah, you still have to diet & exercise, which is something my hubby is having trouble dealing with right now. You're an inspiration - thanks for the honesty!
