This is my 3rd day on the diet. It is hard but I am going to stay with it. I had to go out and buy more fruits and veggies. I didn't like brown rice before but in phase 1 it has become my friend.

don't forget you can do egg whites too. It does taste pretty good w/the rice. I also added a little soy sauce for flavoring (not sure if it was permitted, but it didn't stop me from losing weight). Keep up the good work!

It does get hard, but you can do this...you will love the way things start changing for you!

my favorite phase 1 meal that I still make - brown rice, morning star black bean burger (in frozen breackfast section), salsa (couple spoonfulls), cilantro*, lime juice* (few squeezes), chick peas, more black beans, corn, (occasionally sauted green and red bell with onions or tossed on top of greens if I have time.) I keep all the beans etc., rinsed and ready to go in the fridge, and load on as much as you like (except the rice). *cilantro and lime are key for the "layers of flavor". My husband can pack this for his lunch in under two minutes and he's stuffed. This was my secret meal to success in phase one. Good luck!

i got this from a magazine, can u adapt the meals? what are the rules? the magazine does it on 3 week cycles with four meals per day, allowing any amount of carrots and celery, plus 2 snacks 100 cals a day. is this right? im not buying the book...
