Yesterday was *BAD*.
I got really stressed at work and did everything I could to curb the resulting SUGAR craving. For me, this time it isn't just about weight loss, I'm trying to kick this horrible sugar habit.
I knew it was stress when the craving hit so I got i my car and headed home to grab 1/2 an apple with a lil' peanut butter. I guess challenge #1 was I didn't have healthy sweets at work WITH me.
GOOD tho', that I did get the apple. But that did not resolve it. Came back to work, tried to ignore the craving and then gave in. Giving in meant going to the store to buy my favorite candy, Hot Tamales and Mike and Ikes. I ate a whole theater sized box of Mike and Ike's, but that just created more cravings . . .
I ended up on the couch watching TV (i.e. did not hit the gym) and eating my way through my stress! I had pita chips with hummus (okay as long as you don't eat the qty I did), Bailey's Irish cream with Hennessy cognac and another box of Hot Tamales along with my [very healthy] tilapia with spinach dinner.
The only good I can say came out of it is that I got right back on today. Exercised and at right for breakfast. Trying to "shake off" the feeling that I need to make up for yesterday. The truth is it's gone and I need to just move on from here. I am determined not to let that screw up ruin the rest of the week. Still intend on seeing a 3 lb loss on that scale come Sunday.
