Good and bad. I have been fiercely sticking to my diet. Actually, to the point where I might be under eating.

I got so used to seeing the scale moving daily that I got frustrated when it stopped and so I began eating less and less in an attempt to make it move.

Could this be why it won't move? Any thoughts

Yes, undereating can sometimes lead to a slow down in our metabolism and even show up as a gain. Eating less doesn't always equal more weight loss. Our weight doesn't drop every single day. There will be days it goes up, down and stays the same. It's all normal. The way to goal is patience and persistance.

This happens to me a lot. I start undereating by mistake and I always pay for it either on the scale, or by not having enough energy. When your body realizes that it isn't getting enough, or as much food as usual, it kicks into survival mode. It holds on to every bit of fat and calories it can in order to preserve energy to keep you functioning. This results in your metabolism taking a nose dive and the numbers on the scale not moving, or even going UP. Once you start losing weight the numbers on the scale will usually go down daily, but it's mostly water weight and your body flushing out it's system of toxins from the foods you USED to eat. After a while, it stops going down daily and moves to weekly, then monthly. The worst thing you can do is cut back how much food you're eating because your body will be tricked into thinking that you're starving. My advice is to eat normally, but pump up your exercise, since this speeds up your metabolism, and forces your body to use the food you put into it as fuel and energy to get you through you workouts. Also you can try spreading your caloric intake into smaller meals instead of a few big ones. Also, snacking on healthy fruits and veggies will keep your metabolism going and your body constantly burning calories. I'm still enjoying the daily drop because I have a considerable amount of weight to lose, but eventually, I'm sure it's going to taper off.

thank you so much. After hearing both of your comments I have picked up my caloric intake but still with healthy foods. The best part is now I really feel full.
