In four days over the festive period I put on 6lbs (my weight has been solidly sitting at the same weight for the last 4 months, and as I've been fine with that for now).

This entry is not an entry in which I bemoan festive weight gain. I enjoyed four days with someone I love and don't see as often as I'd like to, and in that time I enjoyed every single bite of food and sip of booze. I'd imagine that a couple of lbs are water weight due to all the alcohol and sodium, and a couple are likely just bloat as I'm a bit constipated from copious amounts of cheese and red meat.

What I'm saying is yes, I've put weight on, and that's okay! I'm not going to overly restrict myself in the new year, I'll continue ordering massive pizzas once a week and snacking on cookies at work and using real butter on my toast. The weight will slowly drop off as I get back into a work routine (I'm a teacher, so these are my holidays) and once the weather heats up I'll want to eat more fruit and salads.

Please love yourselves and don't be harsh on your beautiful bodies.
