Discipline and modest reward. The big reward comes when my knees and hips don't ache as much from carrying excessive weight. I've been allowing myself anything in moderation as long as I've already recently eaten something healthy. I don't want to get caught snacking on something unhealthy when I'm starving. Lord help me keep control when I go to Trader Joes today. those pretzel rolls, blue cheese and pecan dip, inside out carrot cake cookies, salmon dip, all my down falls. I bet I can use celery with those dips though and they wouldn't be as bad as pita chips and the like.
