HOLIDAY SURVIVAL CHALLENGE - Week 2 Continued...
Its official, I have a cold. I have been fighting it for days. And finally, last night, I had to take some medicine to get to sleep because I couldn't stop coughing. I upped my zinc and Vitamin C, have been drinking lots of tea, eating well....but it got me anyway!!! I really think this has something to do with that bike in the basement. I am being punished for avoiding it....
Only baked one kind of cookie yesterday. They are already in the freezer, awaiting some companions. I didn't even have one! :)
Today the main goal is to get the tree up. We have been really bad about that this year - usually its up just a couple days after Thanksgiving. But I just don't feel in a hurry this year for some reason.
We had a heck of an ice storm here last night - everything is covered with about 1/2 inch of ice this morning - and now its snowing. So we are having a pleasant morning! But some parts of Iowa got 10 inches of snow, so I'm not complaining!!!
Noticed that the Illinois governor got arrested this morning. Ah, how life unfolds....I once was offered a position to work for the governor in another life...I turned it down. My reason? I said I didn't want to work in Illinois politics - the people are manipulative and I don't trust them. Interesting...isn't it?
