Official Weekly Weigh-In

What a week it's been! I have been so completely off track since last Wednesday. However, I'm ready to climb back on the wagon now, albeit tentatively, since it's only been a couple of days since my eyelid surgery.

Since I'm starting afresh today, I'm just going to ditch my old scales and take the remainder of the increase from my new scales. So, I'm reporting in this morning at 150.8lb. However, that's still lower than a week ago, and given I currently look like I've gone several rounds with Mike Tyson and have a face swelled up like a watermelon, I'm not too disappointed!

I'm going to have to take things a bit easier for the next couple of weeks. My consultant says I shouldn't do any exercise for 2-4 weeks, so I'm planning on reintroducing some gentle pilates/yoga after 2 weeks, some resistence training after 3 weeks and then the cardio workouts after 4 weeks. Does that sound sensible?

I can't wait to catch up with everyone again - I've missed all my buddies!

PS I've updated my image to show a "before" photo of my eyes. I normally Photoshop out the bags, but thought I'd better leave them in for once so you can see why I put myself through surgery!!

That's neat that you were able to have the eye surgery. I would love to get rid of all the extra baggage around my eyes. Can't wait to see your before/after pics. Hope your recovery goes well. Your plan for exercise sounds great to me.

You've been doing great when you're able to assimilate the remainder of the scale differential and still come out at a loss! Woohoo! The results of your eyelid surgery will be a nice reward for all of your hard work. Take it easy!

It's great to have you back with us, but yes I think the being careful with re-introducing the exercise in a few weeks is most definitely a wise decision! We know that we can lose even without exercise... we did it for long enough previously didn't we, so I know you will still do great. You just take it easy for the time being and DON'T go over doing anything. I'm sure that hubby will oblige and take good care of you... good excuse to have a little rest!! Although don't tell him I told you that! ;o) I'm sure you'll enjoy using your new scales fully and being able to see those daily fluctuations more clearly. You look after yourself though won't you. Glad to hear you are feeling well and had the courage to just go with the new scale. I think you look lovely in your picture before surgery anyway. Thanks for being an encouraging buddy!

You take care of yourself ok? There arent too many times in a womans life when we have a real EXCUSE to take it easy! I saw your pic and thought you look very sweet and pretty as you are now! Rest up and post some pics, Id love to see your new eyes! Thinking of you.
