omg!!!! i felt like such a dork at the store today!!! i got sooo uberexcited over this new bread, well, new to me bc i just noticed it, but orowheat came out with whole grain bread that has 6 grams of fiber per slice..its a bit pricey at about $4 a loaf, but come on, 12 gs of fiber per sandwich!!! wow!!! and then, still catching my breath from that excitement, i remembered that i was still hungry, and was looking at a bunch of different granola type snacks and kept putting things back, due to fat content...then came across the quaker mini rice cakes in caramel!!! and if that wasnt great enough, the store had them in the off brand! check it! 8 minis for just one point!!! i was happy, yet reserved bc i had never tried them b4, and was afraid i would waste money on something i dont like, even tho im sure the kids would devour them...still, u kno? anyways, i paid, and got the baby in the van, and tried them b4 i left my parking space...i almost called my hubbs right then and told him about my new best friend! i was in love. when i got home, he tried them and said "oh, these are mine" haha, ya right. everyone liked them...
...i kno, im a dork. i am just really getting into trying new things, and seeing that the flavored rice cakes are flavorful and truly satisfy a hard core sweet tooth, it was AWESOME!!!!
...i kno, im still a dork... =0)

but, finding these two things, they are really gonna help me keep on track! i am always concerned with fiber since i read that adults need like 30 to 35 gs of it daily...yikes! i kno i wasnt getting that...and i have had and continue to have an insatiable craving for sugar, and those things are just perfect!

crap, repetition...ill stop now...just thought i would share my tasty and healthy findings!!! healthy eating to all!!!

Have you tried the fiber one Caramel Oat bars? They are kind of like granola bars. They have 140 calories, 3.5 fat and 9 fiber in each bar. They are so good and 2 points a piece.

no i havent tried those ones yet...im really trying to find things that will keep me out of the kids individually wrapped cookie stash! =0) those sound better bc most other granola bars are like 3 or 4 points each...thanks for the heads up!

I have also found at walmart Mrs. Freshley's Snack Away Cream Filled Chocolate cupcakes 2 points each they tasted a little different at first but now I like them the cream is yogurt, They also have Vanilla yogurt cream cakes, kind of like a twinkie 2 points each and vanilla yogurt cream oameal cookies 1 point each. they are great snacks. Another great treat that I have recently found is Bryers Fat Free Ice Cream. The chocolate fudge brownie and the french chocolate have 4 grams of fiber in 1/2 cup, so 1/2 cup is only 1 point. And it is really good. I don't know what the other flavers have for fiber. but there was like 4 or 5 different flavors fo the fat free.

If you like candy or when you feel you can handle it, (when I first started I would have ate the whole bag) weight watchers has chocolates made by whitmans that are only 1 point a piece and also there are hershey sticks in caramel, mint and regular milk chocolate and each stick is only 1 point. Also light jello/fruit cups are only 1 point each. the regular are 2 points. hope this helps.

thank u! i kno what u mean...its really cool getting excited over healthy stuff! i feel like im really doing it, making the changes, ones i can stick with for life...ill probably forever write my food and keep track of points...it is so much easier to stay on track when u see it in black and white. staring u down...haha...i have got some really great tips from everyone...thank u all, and i look forward to tasting everything u suggested...in moderation of course! =0)
