Thsiun, you could put half and half or milk in your coffee! Unless you can't have dairy.

Thank goodness 😅😅😅 I thought no-processed means I have to give up dairy 😟. I can give up cheese but not milk and cream I put in my coffee! The thought of coffee without cream for a month makes it tough for me. I already ate a cookie this afternoon.

I think cheese might be okay too, not processed cheese. I just look at ingredients and if it's all stuff I know and just a few ingredients, I'll go for it. I just did this challenge because my doctor basically told me to give up processed foods as much as possible. Everyone interprets it differently. I was so strict when he told me what to do, I lost 16 pounds in less than a month. But I had a glass of milk everyday and a small glass of orange juice.

I suspect the "no creamer" guideline means none of the frankenproducts that contain little to no dairy. Some of them are truly fascinating.

Some people would think dairy wouldn't be allowed, but they are real foods that you know what they are. For me milk is okay, so is butter. Cheese is tougher to decide. I'm going to try my best to avoid it, but I could probably justify some if I'm careful to real the label.

T8U9, I'm giggling over "frankenfood" -- like the CoffeeMate I've been putting in my two cups of morning coffee since starting my new WOE! It's the only "dairy" in my diet now. (Thsiun, I can't bear the thought black coffee!) Of course, "real food" -- even heavy cream! -- would be better than a chemical cocktail!

Miraculum, I mourned a bit at having to cut cream from coffee. Seemed I was becoming more and more sensitive to any lactose, even when taking lots of lactase. Blender coffee with fats made it somewhat easier, but that involves work of heating blender glass and washing the blender. I'm used to coffee black again, but Hallmark should have a condolences card for when someone's giving up (or even radically reducing) dairy.

I have to have half and half when I drink coffee. But I rarely drink coffee anymore, maybe 3 or 4 times a year. Unless I can put Kahlua in it!

Real cheese is NOT processed. It is milk with rennet added. Rennet is what your body had before you were weaned to digest milk, so cheese is just partially digested milk. This is not a scientific statement, but a highly simplified explanation to why it is not processed. I'm sure they can now add all kinds of crap, but simple cheese should be real food. Now, "Kraft American Processed Cheese Food" is whole 'nother story.
