This year, I made a new year's resolution to get healthier. I began the year on SugarBusters with my main food being green smoothies. It is a great way of eating. I'll probably return to it for maintenance and for the rest of my life. However, because of the "start out like you can hold out" approach; weight loss was slow. I only lost 5 pounds in a little over a month.
Just last week, on Super Bowl Sunday, I put myself on Atkins until I reached goal weight. I'm happy to report that I have lost 5 lbs this week! They say, it's just "water weight" that I'm losing (even with my trying to drink 8 cups of water a day?). But, if I have to lose water first then so be it. I have a long way to go, but I'm happy with the results. Also, my skin is clearing up.
