That gin *was* good, not even a smidgen of a headache or bad guts the next day. in fact I felt so good I even cleaned the ovens and mopped the floor as a start to the day!
The old folk are going home today, I shall miss them , but we've had a good fortnight and all fun, no stress, no fighting. My plan on fattening mother for Christmas worked, she is noticeably rounder,. Boy, can she eat! She's not huge though, and still lighter than she used to be. I am too, but heavier than I was last week :)
Right or wrong I am not concerned by that. No doubt I will grumble and struggle once I am losing again. So easy to gain, so hard to lose. I still maintain it was worth it though, for the good times we had. Our parents are so special, and it's too easy to lose sight of that, well, it is in our family anyway.
Happy new year to all my buddies, thanks for being there for me. I will need you in the times ahead, it's going to be a bumpy ride. It will ultimately get better, but I know it will get worse first.
May all our journeys end in a better place than the start. xxx
