@Agnes No. Water weight from Thanksgiving, flour & sugar to be specific. For every gram of carbs we eat, we retain 3 grams of water. Apparently, I ate about 1,000 grams of carbs in 2 days! 😬 It's definitely possible. 🤪 The homemade chicken n pastry, cranberry sauce, and homemade pineapple pudding did a real number on me. I threw down like a fat rat! 😅 I was eating things like that often before I came back to FS. I guess that's how I lost 40 something pounds in the first 6 weeks or so when I first came back and cut carbs out almost completely. 🤷♀️ It really adds up over time. I have a little NATURAL carbs now since I started lifting weights, but they are still low & I save them for dinner or after a workout.

I totally get it, Zenus, I have to watch my carb intake, too, or I’ll swell up in no time. There has been some carb creep in my food, with daily carb intake going from around 120 to 160-170g lately. Gotta watch out. Snacking on some quark cheese with a spoon of raspberry or blueberry preserves—my „deconstructed cheesecake” indulgence, lol—is a big culprit.

@Agnes "Swell up" is the exact term I use as well. I get SO puffy! It's like an allergic reaction. Just those 6 lbs means the difference between a size 10 or size 12 on me.
