My weight has been bouncing around, but really going nowhere, for the past few months. I think it's good proof that ketogenic diet, for my husband and I at least, needs 110% adherence. We haven't been "cheating", and only eating the best choices including no obvious carbs and never sugar, but I suspect eating out far too often introduces hidden carbs that are enough to spoil any weight loss attempts. I do admit to eating far too many "sugar free" sweets and chocolates- even after giving myself a strict 1 piece per day limit, I have been chomping into 3 or 4 pieces every day, and I suspect the "sugar alcohols" that they use, especially maltitol, isn't all that great for weight loss. Apart from that, all we are eating is eggs, bacon, mushrooms etc for breakfast, salad or Chinese restaurant for lunch (local Chinese, not western-style), and veggies and meat for dinner (and also often Chinese restaurant). When the ketogenic diet was working well, I was counting macros religiously- now I'm not counting them so much, I suspect we are eating too much of everything, especially protein.

So when we get back from our 2-week jaunt in Australia, it's back into exercising and counting macros, and maybe a change to more of a Weight-Watchers-type diet.
