I am quite surprised by this loss. I ate more carbs this week because I had a very small slice of a small raspberry pistachio yule log-style cake my friend -- live-in, don't worry! -- bought. And the cake is regular high-carb. Aside from that, I ate low-carb, as usual. It is very possible that I may gain more weight next week as a "rebound effect". It happened to me before.
My weight loss may be related to my period that is close to be ending. However I have noticed as time goes by that there is no real relationship between my period and my weight.
For some reason, my morning blood pressure rose a bit for most of the week (120s instead of 110s systolic; close to 80 diastolic). No specific reason. It went back to the 110s yesterday, thankfully. I did not take a reading this morning, as I woke up later than usual. However, my morning routine of taking my medication and making some breakfast -- eggs, bacon and cheese this morning -- has not changed.
I am only working for 3 days next week, as I decided to take 2 weeks off work! Most days are going to be a boring staycation as there will be almost nowhere to go, but I like the idea of waking up and knowing that I won't need to login and work for more days than just the weekends. And I will be able to see my mother for Christmas Day, as it will be her birthday.
I am also very happy about the vaccine news! Apparently most Canadians will be able to get vaccinated by September. Except that I wish I get a vaccine any season except summer! Based on 2020, unless immunity after vaccination lasts a long time, there is no point getting the vaccine when infection rates are at their lowest, and I am high-risk for COVID (hypertension, anemia, A blood type). Some people are already getting the Pfizer vaccine and the Moderna one is already approved by the FDA, so it is a matter of time before it also gets approved by Health Canada. In the meantime, stay healthy everyone!
