This weekend we were supposed to see Cliff's side of the family at a restaurant in the burbs of Chicago. We don't live there but live just south of Rockford, Illinois; in a little bedroom community...Oregon, Illinois. Actually, not even in town, but on the outer edge of town in the country. I think that the funeral will be this weekend but haven't heard anything yet. Chad, Naomi, Olivia and I are still all going home this weekend from St. Louis nor matter what. Maybe we will have time to do both. Go to our pastor's funeral and visit Cliff's family. We will just have to wait and see.
I'd like to thank all of my Fatsecret buddies for stopping by my journal with your thoughts and prayers. It really means alot! We will miss our pastor which is only natural. I know that he isn't even thinking about earth right now. He is too busy enjoying his new home in heaven and being in the presence of our Lord. Also, I know that he wouldn't want us to grieve too long. Sorry, tears still seem to flow...:( One day at a time.

UPDATE: The funeral is on Friday morning, so I will be leaving Thursday to go back home. Chad and Naomi and the baby won't be coming because they can't get off at the last minute from their jobs. Our pastor will be burried in Indiana so their won't be a burial service on Friday. He was from Indiana and wanted to be buried there.

Oh Cindy, sorry that I missed this yesterday. I wish I had the words to express my sorrow for you losing your pastor. I know that has to be hard for the family. I will include you and your church in my prayers today.

I just have to add that I am soo proud of you for staying on plan with all of that upset in your life. Great Job and I too will pray for a safe trip.

It hasn't been easy my friend. Last night I wanted to eat everything in sight cause I was feeling so emotional. Today has been a little better. Please pray for me at the luncheon after the funeral. I am supposed to help serve the food. Thanks for noticing my food journal. Did manage to even get some veggies in too. I'm proud of myself. I don't usually say things like that cause it sounds conceited but one of my challenges tells me to be proud of myself for changing my life. We all should be proud of ourselves for making the changes we have made. And Leanne, I'm proud of you for not eating that Snickers bar. Thanks again Kathy for taking the time to stop by my journal. I leave tomorrow afternoon to go back home.
