Just spent 3 weeks in Southern India eating "Pure Veg" Lots of wonderful curries, chutney and pickle served with a variety of dosas, vadai, idli (rice cakes), pongal and 'roast' (crepes made from rice flour) that all get dipped in various sauces. No utensils (just hands) and food is served on a clean banana leaf that are then eaten by goats and cows, so no wastage! Great fuel for our many trips to churches, mountaintop temples, gardens, tea plantations etc. Managed to lose 5.4 lbs in 3 weeks. Who knew that by travelling halfway around the world to the Indian sub continent, I could finally figure out the secret to weight loss and good health - It was diet and exercise all along! :)
