I technically lied in my journal last week. I still seem to be maintaining, but I also wrote that a change in weight would be more likely to be a weight gain. Well, I lost a small amount of weight! 0.4 lb, it barely makes a difference, but a loss is a loss!

I still had my nightly regimen of snacks this week, except that I also ate some cheese or dark chocolate (not just low-carb bars and sweets). The holidays are coming up, and it shows in what I eat!

Next week is my last week at work and I will be having some meals for Christmas-themed events with my colleagues. I am noticing that it becomes less of a challenge to order appropriately low-carb meals than it used to be. Maybe it is because I don't eat strictly keto or low carb, despite the fact that I actively avoid the usual suspects. When ordering, I basically either request to lose the bun/bread, avoid ordering meals with bread/rice/pasta, or simply leave any carby food in the plate after eating. The latter option is not my favourite as it wastes food but I don't feel like compromising when it comes to my health.

Today is the worst day for people (like me) who are wishing for a white Christmas: it is warm outside and it rains heavily! The weather forecast was initially freezing rain. However, even though I hate the rain, I feel that is is better than freezing rain because there is no remaining snow on the ground to mix with the falling rain, so we are less likely to slip and fall outside. The rain is supposed to stop tomorrow. There is still some chance that some snow will fall before the week of Christmas but we'll see next week how it goes.
