I now have a brown inhaler to use morning and evening whether I need it or not, as a preventative measure, plus I am now carrying my Ventolin and spacer to the pool with me and keeping it by the side of the pool in an opaque swimming bag.

Day 1 Sunday - 60 mins cardio workout
Day 2 Monday - 60 mins cardio workout
Day 3 Tuesday - ill (asthma attack Monday night)
Day 4 Wednesday - 50 mins cardio workout.

Weds - Woke up still hurting all over. Legs so stiff could barely walk or dress myself. Took paracetamol. Entered pool 8.45; exercised till 9.35. Felt very fit and so was very exuberant for the first ten minutes of wild jiving to wild music (including The Wait by the Pretenders - try dancing to it yourself and see what I mean!) then (unusually) flagged and could not continue at that high level of workout. So I slowed it down a bit and was less vigorous in my movements, while still maintaining an increased heart rate and never staying still at all. At 50 minutes a wave of exhaustion came over me and I started to feel anxious about my ability to stand up long enough to go through the showering, drying and dressing process. So I got out. Managed to stand up through the whole process, which took 30 minutes, taxi home. I now feel absolutely fine, not tired at all, but pleasantly relaxed.

Have not eaten since last evening. Having a pint of tea now, and in an hour or so I will have some slices of roast pork (alone, no carbs). I am defrosting two salmon fillets for dinner later.

My friend Paul says that I am doing this 60 minutes of cardio for 7 days experiment deliberately to "prove" that exercise does not help weight loss. Yes I have demanded an apology because not only is it stupid it is also an insult to me.

If I were to lose, say, 5lb by next Monday, I would be so happy and excited that I would continue to go daily until I have lost 100lb. If no weight loss, I will continue in my usual routine of going only once or twice a week, as I have for twelve years.

Good for you for demanding an apology and good for you for continuing to exercise. Any activity is better than no activity even if it's for cardio more than weight loss.
