I am pleased I have lost some weight because although I have tried to get back on track this week following my holiday I have struggled. I am now going to try and justify myself in order to feel a little better. I have had a really rotten cold (I blame the recycled air I had to breathe on the plane, it’s a good job no one had bubonic plague because I would have been bound to catch that!!!). My back has gone again and has been really bad. I have discovered that bad backs and colds are really not a good combination because every time I cough I am in agony and have to hope that no one is watching the terrible grimaces I make or that the wind doesn’t change because as my mother would say I could stay looking like that forever. I have also tended to comfort eat in an attempt to make myself feel a little better which of course I know only makes me feel far worse once I climb onto those dreaded scales. I obviously not only suffer from a weakness in my will power but also ‘treat amnesia’ because every time I fancy something nice to eat I forget all about the feeling of guilt I will suffer later and the sound of groaning that comes from the bathroom scales. Oh well I am going to be easy on myself over the weekend and try to eat sensibly, then on Monday hopefully I will feel a bit better and once back into my usual weekday routine I shall hopefully get back on track
