So, I’ve never really tracked my carb intake before. I just stopped eating grains and fruits, but I always ate a ton of vegetables. I’m not sure if I was ever in ketosis. So, for the last 3 days, I’ve focused on eating very low carb. I eliminated carrots and cashews. We’ll see how things go.

My goal was to stay under 220 all week. Unfortunately, I had a set back on Monday when I injured my back while running. It hurts to even lay in bed, so I’ve slept on the floor these past three nights. Needless to say weight loss is no longer a priority right now. I went urgent care yesterday, and weighed in a 221. However, that’s fully clothed with shoes, wallet, keys, and phone at 3:30 in the afternoon. So, I call that a win. Still, it will be a while before I run again.

Seems like a big gain, but it’s water weight. The human body can’t gain 5 pounds overnight. I had a big carb heavy meal. So most of that is liver glycogen. It should come off after a few days of eating very low carb.

Things are going well and they just keep getting better. I had good test results these last couple of days. And I’m sticking with my program. My in laws are hosting a party with a nacho bar tonight. I’ll be fine as long as I stay away form the tortilla chips. Hopefully there will be plenty of lettuce, so I can have a “Nacho Salad”(trademark)
