Well tomorrow morning I go in to have a test ran for gallbladder function. I’m not sure what type of result (positive or negative) to expect. Can’t eat after midnight and won’t get to eat until at least mid-morning, at least 10:00. Was thinking of going over my daily carb limit for today because I was still hungry after dinner and to hopefully not be so hungry in the morning. Apparently dinner finally hit and not as hungry and will just eat a few pickles and drink water.

Guess it’s been a tough week. My dad has been visiting and is a meat and potato kind of person and kind of a picky eater, so it’s been tough to make good food choices for dinners. Starting a new job tomorrow, after being unemployed for some time. Taking good options for lunch/snacks, meal replacement shakes, beef sticks, cheese, pickles, should pack some almonds. Planning on making a rotisserie chicken tomorrow night for dinner, can take some of that to work on Tuesday. Hoping to do better this week. Some of this could be due to other issues as well, guess I’ll get a few answers probably by the end of the week after a test is done on Wednesday.

Wondering if anyone is specifically following the Profile by Sanford diet. If so, what resources have you found, especially for meal ideas?

Diet is going to take a huge hit when you’re in substantial pain and the only relief that seems to help is alcohol. Pain med is not cutting it. Fortunately have an appointment for later today that hopefully will give me better meds.

Talk about being a little bummed. I set my first goal on October, 1 to be 215lbs by Thanksgiving (US). Don’t know what I was thinking, but that would have required a 2.5-3.0lbs. loss per week. Not really a reasonable, or responsible, expectation. So I guess I have to adjust my numbers. My new goal will be 225lbs. by Thanksgiving, currently just under 235lbs. This will require an average of 1.66lbs loss per week. This is achievable if I can continue to lose at the rate I have been. It will be close I’m sure, but I’m hopeful.
