I feel like one of those puffa fishes! Remember the one on Finding Nemo - 'that time of the month'! lol
Anyway - been much better this week but only lost 3/4 lb but still it's a loss. I think the main thing I need to improve at the moment is increase my water intake - it really does make a difference but being at work I can only drink during my lunch break so limited as to when I can drink. If I drink more after 6pm I end up getting up and down in the night for the loo at least twice.
Another think I am really looking forward to is starting salsa classes next week - I really feel upto it now. I'm mainly doing it because I LOVE dancing and it will be good for my soul - but obviously I'm bound to benefit from the physical exercise too. Can't wait for next Thursday......

Well I actually lost a qtr of a pound - which, considering I have really haven't tried this week is almost acceptable. I think with me starting work, having a cold and taking so much in during my training I haven't wanted to think about food really. However now I'm finding my feet with the job and getting into more of a routine I think I will be back on track this week - still motivated!
Also I am hoping to start exercising soon - just ordered one of those under door sit-up bars - they're like rocking horse poo to find these days! Anyway should have it by next week and then start working of phase 2 which is to start shrinking the belly! Yah!

I am struggling a bit today - I have been bored this afternoon - my problem is that I am an emotional eater - so if I feel stressed or fed up or annoyed about something then that's when I tend to stalk the fridge a lot.
I am hoping that a radical change in my personal circumstances will help as I actually start work tomorrow for the first time in nearly three years - this is after a career break to have my son. I think it will help us as a family to get into better routines with our eating, sleeping and playing.
I think planning helps too - the worst part is going to the cupboard and wondering what the hell am I allowed to eat.... so if I plan my meals it's easier.
Unfortunately my partner is very set in his ways with his eating and refuses to try anything new and his diet is full of everything that is in the red zone on this diet. I have tried to convince him to change his wicked ways - but seeing as he is his recommended weight and his cholestrol levels are ok - I don't have much of a strong arguement - he is his own man and has made his choice (you can lead a horse to water, etc).
My son (2 and a half) on the other hand - is just as awkward but mainly due to his age - so I am persisting in trying to get him to eat healthier foods and ignoring his tantrums.
For me my motivation is health based in that I feel so much better since GI-ing. My IBS is 100% better, my mood swings are more level, headaches better, sleeping better and the depression I have suffered for the last 10 or so years is very much eased and I feel totally positive about the future. Believe me there is a new woman inside this rather large skin - but she is on her way out.......

WOW this is worth the effort - lost another 2 @ 1/4 lb this week. That size 14 dress for my birthday is in sight.
I have my sister and niece stopping for a few days and usually I go mad cooking all these delicious puddings and stuff - but instead we're focussing on taking the dogs out to different walks and eating healthy when we get back.
I am a practising GI-er - and guess what I'm getting better and it's getting easier!!!
