12-27-14 Well, I did great over Christmas...then I have bgone berserk on the cookies and candy my kids made. My son and d-in-law in Japan sent us a big box of all kinds of Japanese snacks etc. That's always so much fun to try.
I hope everyone did better than I did. As soon as all the holiday goodies have gone, I'll be back on track.

12-24-2014 12:30PM... weighing in at 255.0. I was so shocked, I stepped back and back up on scales again. Yup, that's what it said! My husband is pleased. He tells me that my weight is not a problem to him; that he loves me just like I am, he just worries about my health. Then he says, "If you think for 1 minute that you can die and leave me with this mess, You are crazy!" Our family is very close, except for our baby...He and his wife are 33 years old and living permanently in Japan, teaching English as a 2nd language. Very happy. But the rest of our 4 kids live within 10 miles of us so we are in each others pockets, literally all the time. We are retired so we are taxi service for everyone. I adore all my grandchildren and we are fortunate to have 4 children and their spouses who love us as much as we love them. Both my daughters have weight issues, and weight loss is as hard for them as it is for me. I'm going to try to get my family to raise a communal vegetable garden this upcoming year. There is a lot of untapped labor there. We could benefit from the work, financial savings, and the fresh organic veggies. I'll let y'all know how that goes. My pessemistic husband is just shaking his head. Merry Christmas and good luck with the diet during the Holidays.

12-23-2014 On the 21st, I weighed in at 254.0. I didn't bother to report it because it just couldn't been right. 22nd, it was 256.0. OK, I will accept that. Now today, I weighed 257.0, and I deserve that. My daughter has been making candy and cookies with her young daughter...making memories. And I love her peanut brittle. But I'm being good, actually. And tonight, I fixed stirfry veggies and shredded pork roast. Very diet-worthy.

12-18-2014 9:30am weighed 258. Yoyoing up again. And I behaved yesterday. It was a rough morning this morning, I woke up late and Rob and I had to really rush to get to the elementary school in time to see our youngest grandson's Christmas program. My bones and muscles hurt so bad from my walking yesterday. My own fault, I didn't wear good walking shoes. No walking for me today. As soon as the program was over, I came home for a nap. Rob and I are adding more fresh veggies to our diet but that adds to my IBS. My gastric system prefers I have my veggies steamed.
Now, at 9pm, I am so ready for bed. Rob wants popcorn though. And who am I to turn down popcorn?
