Still losing weight - I’m *_* (that’s a tiny speck) close to -100 pounds down since my heart failure diagnosis in March (yes 40 of that is fluid from that first week). Having ups & downs but I’m learning now what I can and can’t do. And striving to stick to it. July 31 I soft started a no-extra sugar August. So I’ve been doing spinach, tuna, ground turkey, cheese sticks, egg whites & my peanuts for a snack when I’m super hungry. 1 Diet Coke a day- I love the taste of it- fortunately it’s 0carbs anyways, water, and 1 crystal light packet a day. Oh and every few days 1 whey protein shake.

I don’t think the Mounjaro is doing a whole lot other than making me sick to my stomach. Everyday it’s a battle to tell myself I’m not really starving- since I’ve been able to do several 36 hour fasts occasionally.

I miss potatoes the most. Chips, French fries, mashed potatoes 😞. Also chocolate. That’s about it tho. I have had a few days- and I mean just a few- 2 in July where I gave up for a day and did eat ice cream and chips. Taco Bell chicken burritos one day. I don’t regret the calories but the sodium I do. Because of my ❤️ failure & how badly I retain fluid. It takes several days to recover and it’s just not worth it.

Frustrated I didn’t do something before I got to this point. But I’m here now.

I did make a delicious ground turkey and fresh veggies soup today in the crockpot. After weeks of tuna, spinach and egg whites it was glorious. Will check in again w my weight the week of my next ❤️ appt/bday week in October.
