Hello! My name is Amanda, and I’m on a mission to get back to my healthy self.
My highest weight was 225 lbs. I then lost 80 lbs with weight lifting and by eating a 2200-2400 calorie balanced diet, incorporating lots of fruits and veggies, but by no means leaving out my favorite foods - pizza and Oreos! Of course, all of that was much easier to do when I was a stay-at-home mom with a lot more time on my hand.
Fast forward 3 years after maintaining my weight loss, and I’m now a divorced, single mom that works full time sitting at a desk all day. It’s no surprise that I’ve gained 55 lbs back. I’m back on a mission to find that healthy balance. I know all-or-nothing approaches don’t work and that I need to slowly and steadily build up my old healthy habits again.
I’m on FatSecret to help keep me accountable and to support and receive encouragement from like-minded individuals. I do not believe in calorie restriction, nor do I subscribe to any particular way of eating, omitting specific foods/food groups or overextending myself. Moderation and balance are key!
