Hi! I am a 43 year old Mom of 2 (22 and 20) and have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember! At one point I topped the scales at 215 pounds - and that was NOT when I was pregnant! In 2000 I joined Weight Watchers and successfully lost 50 pounds. Then, unfortunately we moved away to a small remote community with no WW in sight. I continued the program on my own and lost another 33 for a total of 83 pounds. However, keeping the program going on my own with no other members to talk with/listen to eventually became harder and harder and I slowly started putting the weight back on. I find if I don't exercise I don't lose weight- in fact it is very easy for me to gain it simply from lack of exercise. Well, in January, I decided to start the points system again and by June had lost 20 pounds. For the past 2 months I have been at a stand still weight wise. I have been diagnosed with degenerative disk disease in my neck which affects my neck, should and whole right arm - so at times even walking can be painful (swinging my arm and just moving). I need to keep going - 20 pounds more to come off, but would like that feel of a support system again...others who are fighting this great fight everyday! I'm sure with everyone's help here, I will be successful and I hope I can help others at the same time.
