I weighed 215 lbs when i was 16. I started working out obsessively and eating better and over a year or more i got down to 115. Over the years i obsessively worked out to stay thin until i finally found a good balance and my happy place became 150 to 155. I didnt have to workout twice a day all the time or starve myself at this weight.
I have a pituitary tumur that started growing when i was about 9 years old that causes my hormones to be out of whack...and much harder to lose weight and quite easy to gain weight! This was finally found when i was about 27. Being on several medications for my hormones helps control my weight but it always seems like a struggle for me.
I became pregnant at 30 and had my first baby at 31. During the pregnancy i stopped taking all my medications and gained 40 lbs despite keeping track of my calories on here and working out 45 min at lunch and going for a 2 mile walk in the evenings. Once I had my son and stopped breast feeding i was able to resume my medications and finally started losing some of the weight i had gained from the pregnancy. I got down to my pre-baby weight when my son turned 1, but did so by eating too few calories and working out hard. Once i resumed 1500 calories i packed on 10-15 pounds in a month obviously because my body was in starvation mode. I finally got past that and am struggling again.
