Angel.G there’s 19 in an apple and about 20-25 in a banana!! Thought I was being good today by having them till I saw the carbs in them 😳

Gilly I am trying to cut carbs down as been having 200-250g a day but may have to re-think how to do this...

I think that is the main reason I couldn't do low carb, it seems backwards to have to limit your fruit intake.

Thing is I love pasta and rice but try not to eat them more than once or twice a week. My diet is very limited as I don’t like salad, only really eat broccoli veg wise and apples and bananas. One dense food I do like is sugar free jelly-9 calories per pack and little or no carbs at all!!

I'm with you wooble, ever since I started eating 3-4 serving of fruit a day, I've been able to say no to sweet things like chocolate cake without hesitation.

Oh yes, when I lost most of my weight I only ate 1 fruit per day...now I eat 2 sometimes even 3 fruits 🍉 😏

I read somewhere that there is an enzyme in apples that suppress your appetite. bought a bag in aldi's then read how many carbs in an apple and that suppressed my appetite for apples lol😂can't frigging win 😕

I also got a shock at the high carb number in apples and bananas. Have been doing low carb to help my husband lower his blood sugar levels as he has type 2 diabetes. Only been doing this way of eating a short time but have lost inches and feel more energetic. I make pancakes with one banana, eggs, coconut flour and unsweetened almond milk, this gives me the banana taste with lower carbs
