I don’t even want to post this for fear of anti-scale lectures again haha! Maybe I deserve the gain for weighing every day😉 I know, I know but obviously something I’m eating is causing water retention because I’m staying within calories and macros. I did eat low carb high fiber tortillas the last two days...even though I’ve stayed under 30 net carbs they must be causing water retention?? Any thoughts? They are really good and give me tons of fiber so I’d like to be able to eat them.

Packaged low carb stuff had inflammatory chemicals in them. I do much better if I eat clean, NO PROCESSED FOOD. When I eat something out of a box it causes as much as 6 pound weight gain overnight. (3 days to get it off) Also be careful with delli meats and watch the label on your bacon too!

I think those tortillas didn't do me any favors and gave up eating them long ago. Some of these high fiber foods seem to cause gut issues and be more irritating than anything else.

@eckhart: this month I’ve averaged about 1300cals a day with about -500 deficit a day. I’ve been eating lchf with macros around 50-60 protein, 20-30 net carbs and 100 fat. Any advice? Thanks!

Sweat is the chief means of losing water... best done by aerobic activity (hope that helps you, it did for me... quite a bit).

Your fat seem a bit low you could be stalling your metabolism. Whats your body fat % or stimate. Are you having any side effects, like feeling lethargic, low energy or nausea anthing2 alongs does lines.

I agree about the fats being low. Also, the calorie deficit is signaling your body to hang on to body fat :P That has been the 'ticket' for many keto-ers I know who were doing their macros ok, but stayed pretty much stalled until they upped their calories substantially. Good luck as you figure out what is best for you!

I walk on my treadmill 30 mins. 3 x a week with a 12 lb weight vest and I lose a lot of sweat, GOOD luck.

Eckhart and Ion dunk: how much fat should I be eating? I’ve just been using an online calculator to figure out macros and calories. I’m 5’5” 145 lbs not sure on fat% but probably in the 30’s?? I have never had much energy and still don’t with this woe but no nausea. How many calories should I be eating? I do 30 min elliptical 5 days a week plus 20 min 3x a week strength exercises

I suggest that you go on this site called cronometer.com and that you input your food for a few days. It will tell you how much potassium and salt, vitamins, minerals and almost anything that you can think of. I read that a keto person needed at least 3000 mg of potassium. We often read that we need at least 4500mg or so. A non keto person needs less. It's normal to hit a plateau and you are getting closer to your goal weight therefore you won't lose as quickly. You just need to keep going and not give up. I suggest that you get on the treadmill a couple of times a week to change your cardio a little. You can try to walk 4.0 miles per hour for 30 minutes and jog part of it. It's a slow jog at 4.0 per hour but if you're not used to it, it's feasible and one way to start slowly. As time goes by and you get to jog the whole half hour then you can slowly increase the speed.
